Accommodation
Permai Rainforest Resort offers an alternative
to standard ‘hotel-type’ accommodation.
The accommodation consists mainly of stand
alone-units, designed and built to provide
guests the opportunity to experience the peace
and tranquillity of the rainforest. The units
are are well spread out to ensure privacy,
and are simple, clean and comfortable. In
line with our ‘Back to Nature, Back to
Basics’ concept, only selected modern
conveniences are provided.
THE TREE HOUSES
Our trademark, and the most unique accommodation
in the Damai area.
Built 20 feet off the ground, the tree houses
take their inspiration from the homes of Iban,
one of the major native races of Sarawak.
Traditionally, the Iban build their houses
on tall wooden stilts for protection against
floods, marauding tribes, pirates and wild
animals.
Rustic and cosy, the tree houses are air-conditioned
and have ceiling fans, hot showers, fridge,
etc.
The tree houses provide a wonderful opportunity
to experience the rainforest and offer great
views of the Damai seaside. Go to sleep at
night to the sound of the waves lapping on
the shore. Wake up in the morning and embrace
nature’s cool, quiet stillness. Lose
yourself in the peace and tranquillity.

THE CABINS
These cabins accommodate 6 people and have
2 bedrooms, attached bathrooms, a living room
and a veranda. The cabins are modestly furnished
and are great for families or small groups.
Some of these cabins have BBQ pits and a large
veranda space for cooking. If you wish to
have a BBQ please request such cabins when
making your reservations.

THE LONGHOUSE
The favourite of students and backpackers,
the longhouse is the popular with those who
have economy in mind. It features dormitory-style
accommodation and each longhouse room accommodate
6 persons. The rooms are modestly furnished
with single beds and ceiling fans, and attached
bathrooms. |
